property BackgroundBmp: TPicture;
Description
This property of a TPlusMemo or TDBPlusMemo permits selecting a background bitmap that will appear in the client area, behind the text, for paragraphs with a transparent attribute, which they have by default (see topic ParagraphsBackground). If member pmoFixedBackground is absent from property Options, this bitmap will scroll with the text and it will be tiled infinitely in both the horizontal and vertical directions. If pmoFixedBackground is set, the bitmap is fixed and text will scroll over it.
Reading property BackgroundBmp returns a reference to the internal TPicture object created by the TPlusMemo. Application programs should not free this object, or use this reference after the TPlusMemo is destroyed. Also, TPlusMemo uses the BackgroundBmp.OnChange event to trigger a display refresh, so application programmers must be careful if they want to assign this event for other purposes.
The write access method for this property consists of an assign call to the internal TPicture object. BackgroundBmp can also be set at design time; the conventional picture property editor for TImage components is used to select the desired background picture.
Only a bitmap type graphic can be loaded into BackgroundBmp. Assigning it another type will not have any effect on the display.
